Description
The humanistic disciplines in our universities, especially the study of literature and the arts, have become notorious for frivolity, obscurity, modishness, and ideological grandstanding. Steven Justice, who has taught in the nation's premier English department for thirty years, argued that they should and do, and that current pressures offer a promising chance to reform them.
