The Concept of God
A seminar for university students with Molly Oshatz, Ph.D

Time & Location
Thursdays, April 25 - May 16, 2019
Description
What can philosophy tell us about God? Does God exist? And what can reason tell us about the classic theistic conception of God as personal, both immanent and transcendent, perfectly good, omniscient, and omnipotent? This dinner seminar led by Dr. Molly Oshatz drew on authors including Aquinas, Maimonides, Hume, William James, and Alvin Plantinga and tackled classic arguments for and against the existence of God, the problem of evil, and the relationship between reasoning about God and faith in God.
