CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF
PROFESSIONS AND MORAL PURPOSE
The Zephyr Institute’s Center for the Study of the Professions and Moral Purpose helps Stanford students think deeply about the philosophical foundations of culture-shaping professions. As students prepare to pioneer developments in technology, medicine, business and media, they benefit from not only practical know-how, but also a philosophical understanding of how their work fits into the broader context of human history, what the nature and purpose of their professions are, and how innovations in these fields might best serve humanity. The Center offers an opportunity for vigorous debate and inquiry into the nature, goals and responsibilities of the professions most directly shaping culture.
