About the Event
Undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates are invited to join the Zephyr Legal Humanities Reading Group. This group will read classic and contemporary texts exploring the nature of law and justice. Though of special interest to those with legal backgrounds or futures, all interested are invited and encouraged to join. No prior legal knowledge is expected or required.
What is law? What is justice? Are they the same thing, and if not, why and should they be? Come explore these and other questions with Marcus, Quintus, and Titus, as we kick off our inaugural meeting with a discussion of Cicero's De Legibus (On the Laws). Participants should read the text in advance of the meeting. The text can be found here.
Dinner will be provided to all attendees. Please RSVP so that Zephyr can have an accurate headcount.
