About the Event
Michael Corleone starts on a path of Americanization that should lead him to the national political elite, but instead ends up a businessman involved in organized crime. He is almost a model immigrant, but eventually becomes an enemy of America. He shows a rare love of honor that recalls ancient politics--in the middle of the modern, liberal, middle-class America. Yet he also announces changes in America, weaknesses in the understanding of justice that easily lead to the corruption of the elites.
