Aristotle’s Ethics

Description

The Zephyr Philosophy Camp introduces high-school students to sustained philosophical inquiry through focused, seminar-style discussions of major philosophical works. In 2027, students will read and discuss Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics over the course of a five-day camp. The program will cultivate the skills and habits of close reading, careful argumentation, thoughtful conversation, and reflection on fundamental ethical questions. Afternoon field trips to relevant sites on Stanford’s campus will complement the seminars.
