University Programs

Zephyr hosts intellectual retreats, lectures, seminars, and symposia on the fundamental principles underlying schools of thought. These are non-graded, non-credit programs, and they usually take place during evenings or weekends and include dinner. The primary focus is on texts not taught at Stanford this year which nonetheless are worthy of study, because they offer theoretically significant—and, at times, beautiful—insights into the nature of human being. Secondary areas of focus for university programs encompass the intellectual interests & research of Zephyr's junior fellows and graduate fellows, in addition to the interests of Zephyr's high school philosophy alumni, who are now students of philosophy at Stanford, Berkeley, Reed College, Thomas Aquinas College, and more. On occasion, the university programs division hosts lectures by academics in the Zephyr network, on their recent monographs.
