About the Club
The Zephyr Philosophy Club is a monthly gathering of high school students with a shared interest in exploring philosophical ideas. Past discussions have covered a range of topics including ethics, epistemology, existentialism, moral relativism, pragmatism, and moral realism. Readings are short and drawn from influential thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, and William James. Club members choose the topics and suggest readings collaboratively.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month during the school year—September through November, and January through May—from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Please note: Dates listed on the website are subject to change. Additional sessions may be added or canceled based on club interest. Once accepted, members will receive the finalized schedule from Zephyr.
The exact location (in Atherton, CA) will be shared with accepted members. Carpools are encouraged.
Membership is free—and pizza dinner is provided!
